First Impressions...

This was the best 30 mile drive to work i've ever had...

-The truck moves effortlessly with 4.8. The power is perfect.
-In an SUV...you don't drive...you OWN the fn road. My past 3 cars were a 3 series sedan, a 335 coupe and a z3. What a TOTALLY different experience.
-It drives like a sports car...not a truck...that's what amazes me most. It think maybe it's because its the middle of the winter and I've been driving the 335 coupe with performance tires...but that car slid all over the place...where as this thing feels absolutely glued to the road.
-It's amazing how high up I felt. When I pull into the lot here in the morning, I would normally have to reach up to get parking lot ticket ticket. Now I was looking down...
-The new car brake smell is awesome!!! Somebody needs to bottle it!!!

That is hilarious but true. My wife hated it and I told her it's a guy thing.

My wife said the same exact thing. She's like "I think something is wrong with the car"

I told her...

"Wrong? No...To me that smells like Perfume!!!"

I've been driving an SUV since 16 and I will never go back to a passenger car... it just feels better being higher and being able to see everything (much to the dismay of people who can't see around me - sorry but I guess you can get one too). If every SUV drove everyday as well as this I'm sure there would be fewer passenger/sports cars on the road.

+1 for me as well. I've had my e53 for 8 years now and won't go back to a car. I'm a tall drink of water at 6'3" so it's easier to get in and out of, too.

You better be a woman for saying that, otherwise it just don't sound right :-)

Also I agree, I like the feel of the X5 more than another SUV and equal to the Cayenne. Now I don't feel right driving the Audi A4 or BMW 3 anymore... it is like put-put cars now...

Haha. If you ever saw the movie "Made" with Vince Vaughn--that was one of his lines about why he only rides in limos. That movie was kind of a sequel to "Swingers" his 1st big movie--both are great movies.

Congrats on your new car. Great color too. How do you like your sport seats?

Sports seats are great. Just need to find that perfect position. Took me a week or so in my last car.
