Smile Car kit adapter question?

Dear all,

I have the BMW mobile car kit installed in my car so I connect my mobile phone via blue tooth. Now I never used the mobile adapter which is in compartment box next to the seat. So my questions are the following

1. When the phone is connected is the cars adapter probably its using the cars antenna and not the mobile phones, is this correct? if yes is the radiation less in cars cabin? or there isn't any difference ?

2. Is it easy to handle the mobile through the idrive? Do I have to load all the phonebook in the idrive because i see many have an issue with this because the idrive gets stuck when starting the car.

what is your experience so far with the mobile hooked on the adapter?

So far I am very happy with just the bluetooth connection without needing to connect the phone to the adapter, I just make phones manually from the phone. But what concerns me more is radiation...

thanks,
