so what I'm getting is... Fidelity is better than someone like WarrantyDirect?
Can someone clarify how much typical annual regular maintenance would run after the plan is over? I guess it depends how much time has passed and what services are due, but how high can it go? $2k? All I know is their prices are way out there (ie. $150 for an oil change?).

To answer your questions:
-From what I have heard so far, for an extended warranty on a BMW, Fidelity comes highly recommended by a lot of people including BMW reps. - For the extended maintenance plan, as you said it really depends on how much time has passed and what is going to be due. Let's say if you haven't had an Inspection II and a full brake job yet and you'll be needing them plus throw in an oil change (with microfilter) and a brake flush, you'll have come out way ahead, based on BMW pricing of course. If you have the ability to do all the stuff yourself or take it to a local indy then it might not be the best deal and you'll have to price it out yourself. Let me just add that what a lot folks seem to forget is that extended warranties and extended maintenance plans always add to the resale value of your car should you sell. |
