X5 35d remap?

Hello All

i am considering a DMS remap of my 35d X5 but wondering whether anyone has any real life experience of the twin turbo diesel engine with the extra power?

Has anyone seen any reviews at all??

Thanks!

Fredson

The difference is big... ok don't expect a hall different car like an M6.... but at least from the experience i have with Hartge in 3rd 4th and 5th gear the car pulls like crazy and far better than before. I wouldnt thing that DMS is all that different than Hartge or any other tuning remap. Now be aware that although they say consumption is better... in my oppinion consumption is much worse... I mean that when I drive the car slowly, concervative the consumption is pretty much the same but when I kick it... I pay for it! And believe me with all this torque I cannot drive concervative..

Check this out I get my SD MSport next week and am already thinking about getting this done. Can I afford to live without that extra 50bhp?

I know how you feel.

From other people's experience I am leaning towards this company.

DMS Automotive Porsche BMW Mercedes Performance tuning

They get raving reviews. I emailed them. It came to about 900+vat if I remember correctly.

Just looked it up, this is what they emailed me:

The upgrade is guaranteed by us undetectable by BMW service and diagnostic equipment and there will be NO smoke. We take the car to around 340 BHP and 535 lb/ft of torque. Cost £795+vat and the work can be done at your location.

535 lb/ft is 725nm. This is significantly better than the Superchip way I'd say.

What is the 0-62mph time now? What is it like 50-70mph?
Has it impacted fuel consumption in a overally negative or even positive way? Finally, how much did it cost and have you had any hassle with BMW?

Cheers!
