30i: grrr... how do you disconnect the intake neck

Hi, so after taking out the two plastic pins that secure the intake neck, i can't seem to disconnect the neck from the air filter housing. the tabs there seem to be rock solid LOL. the left side is loose and i can wiggle it but the right side is super tight. i didn't want to pry it with a screw driver because it's all plastic. any ideas folks?

people here dont really do stuff to the engine... but are you referring to the clipped down end towards the front or the end that is connected into the air filter box?

All it shows in the repair manual is to
- Pull off plug
- Release Clamp and detach air intake hose. Open retainers and remove upper section of the intake filter housing.

* seems straight forward
