Finally Chosen Colour

Ok, this is my 3rd E70 X5, the first one 18 months ago I handed back as it drove left, a 3.0d Sports Exec Space Grey, Aero Kit fully optioned and replaced by BMW.

This second one 12 months ago, a 3.0sd Sports Exec, Space Grey, Aero Kit, fully optioned got drowned and written off.

So this time I have ordered a 35d xDrive M-Sport fully optioned, but this time in White.

Everyone seems to have Black, Grey or Silver? so I thought I would pick a different colour for a change?

It doesn't sound like this is set in stone yet so I'll give my personal opinion - the white painted bumpers gives it too much white - got a preview on the X3s. It is borderline "Pimp My Ride". I would definitely stick with a darker color if getting the m-kit. Also I'm not sure the black mudflaps go...

I'm glad to see someone else likes the M Sport kit. Most people don't like it, but I think it's a lot nicer than the black bumpers.
My original choice was white because it is very hot here, white is classy, and my current car was white but after seeing the gray I changed my mind. To me the gray is classy like white but with the sports looks of black (IMO).
White is nonetheless a very nice color, and if you like it go for it.

Serious Congrats! The white looks clean and elegant ... behind the covers of a (6 cylinder) beast!

Beautiful. I don't mind the white bumpers at all. A very clean look in my opinion. I'm not interested in the stiffer ride of a sport model, but if the body kit with 18" wheels was available, I'd definitly consider it.

Rob, is this your actual car, I was at the dealer yesterday morning and actually sat in this car. we must have just missed each other? my new SD was in for some final tweaking to the aero kit (few screws loose) mine gets window tint on Thursday morning then I plan to take the pictures for posting on the forum.

Mate this is one very cool car that you have chosen well done.

At first blush I wouldn't think to choose white as a color, but that car is absolutely beautiful. Congrats if that is your X5.

Hi Boss,

No, this is just a X5 the dealer had, completely standard except for the Sun Roof. It's only a 3.0d M-Sport, no options at all.

I ordered a 35d xDrive M-Sport with 20" Wheels, Adaptive Drive, Active Steering, Leveling Suspension, 3rd Row Seats, Comfort Access, Comfort Seats with Electric Lumbar, Active Seats with Active Ventualation, Perforated Leather, Heads Up, Xenon Lights with Washers, Soft Close, Business Nav with TV, 16 Speaker HiFi, etc, etc. Put it this way, I grabbed every option except heated steering wheel, not required in our climate and I did not get the rear DVD system but ticked every other box. Down for the first week of April production.
