BMW's are NOT trouble-free and neither are Mercedes. However many consider Mercedes more of a softer automobile driving experience. But asking about what vehicle to buy on a BMW site will always bring predictable biased opinions correct?. I mean what would you expect from drivers of the best driving luxury SAV on the market.

I think the car is gonna depreciate another 5k in a year so that puts it in the low 30k range but the ones at these prices could have had a lot of issues so I would be wary. I don't think the facelift is gonna hurt prices too much because it will not be that drastic unless they bring the TT engines over. If you wanna find a clean car with no history you will have to look at another car. We picked up a nicely loaded CPO 05 X5 4.4i with 10 months original warranty left for 26k last nov and we like it a lot.

No. You'll have to wait a couple years before you see pre-owned e70s at that high-20s price range. Heck, low-mileage, well-maintained '06 e53s are now just getting there.
