Sound System Upgrade in pending X5 order
Hi all,
New to forum today  About to order X5 35d and in Australia they offer three sound systems. Standard 6 speakers / 12 speaker (standard in 4.8i) and 16 speaker professional. Cost to 12 speaker is $800USD cost to 16 speaker is whooping $1850USD. Can anyone comment on value of either upgrade please. Dave

I have the premium sound, which is the same as your professional. The standard system was terrible. The premium sound is okay, but not great in my opinion. My Lexus LS 460 has 19 speakers and blows the BMW system away. If you like music, I would get the professional system, or go after market.

I had the exact dilemma... back when i placed my order... Finally i decided to spend more and go with the professional sound system and I am absolutely happy with that decision. The sound is great and is something you will not be able to do in the future if you decide to upgrade... also add the usb slot.

I am just wondering do you get the same range of sound systems in the States as we do here in Australia.
We have a choice of a Standard System (6 Speakers) a Hi Fi 12 speaker system and Hi Fi Professional 16 speaker Logic 7?
