Scary moment with BMW wheel lock

Changed over my wheels on the weekend and had a rather scary moment when taking off one of my BMW wheel locks.. the part that has the pattern that the security bolt fits into came off from the bolt ... it is a two piece bolt... the scary part was that I thought I was stuffed and would need to get the bolt removed by BMW or drilled out.. luckily I was able to put the top part of the bolt back on and loosen the nut ok... I am now changing to RAD wheel locks which are one piece...

Which BMW wheel locks do you have (see 3 below)? Can you post a picture?

Wow, that is scary then, since those are the new and improved 'higher level of security' locks that BMW offers. Amazing. BTW, those were introduced in July 2006 and they are made by McGard of Germany.
