Engine plate

so today i was washing the car and open up the engine compartment and to my suprise, the engine plastic plate that has the bmw logo and V8 stamp was fallen off!

Anyone has this issue?

I snapped it back on and it seems rather tight now. I wonder if it had to do me getting the car services for diff seal being bad last week or it was never on tight to begin with from factory. I was lucky that plate didn't fall between the belts! Anyone have similiar issue?
