I went from a '06 X4 4.4 Sport to a 2008 Cayenne GTS. I had the GTS for 26 days and traded it in on an '08 X5 4.8 Sport. Not my finest financial day but after living with the GTS for a month I could not wait to get out of it. Yes it looks fantastic and it handled well, exhaust sound in sport mode was phenomenal but the overall execution of the car let a lot to be desired. Transmission was bad, hunted for gears, throttle tip in was unbearable 6 speed manual would have been better. Brakes were not on par with BMW. Quality of the interior and the overall car was substandard. In the end the car looked great just was not happy with it overall. Decided to get out of it before it lost anymore value. Since then I have seen many under year old GTS's for sale so I don't feel I was alone in this assessment. Getting beyond the wow factor of how it looks, you have to agree. It just was not a BMW...
