New discovery regarding Active Steering
For anyone considering active steering, I discovered another distinct trait that it imparts on the X5 (and probably any other BMW with it as well). For the 1st time, I had our X5 up to the speed where a non-sport X5 would cut off, and it was incredibly uneventful. It was so stable and solid. I attribute this to the active steering. My 550i with M sport suspension doesn't feel as planted at those speeds (although it reaches them with infinitely greater ease).
So, if you do a lot of highway miles, the active steering should be a real plus. I opted for it in order to make the car drive smaller around town, which is does.
My 2 cents for anyone on the fence about AS.

DRP
