Hartge steering wheel?
One option is to buy a sport steering wheel but the airbag must be replaced. Hartge has a few mean looking steering wheel rings in which the standard airbag will fit. Anyone knows if there is a Hartge distribuitor in the US? |

Wow, Hamann and Hartge steering wheels are way more expensive than an M steering wheel including all the trim and the airbag module.
I have just ordered the Sport steering wheel and airbag which is even a cheaper option. Will post the results soon. |

What kind of prices were you quoted?
Did you order the standard sports steering wheel from the facelift X5 or the M steering wheel? Also did you get the heating function? |

Hartge Steering wheel is $2100 (Local pickup from distribuitor in FL)
Hamann is $2500 (Shipped from Germany) Both without airbag. A sport steering wheel for my 2008 e70 complete with airbag is $1050 M steering wheel with airbag is $1500, this one includes the heating option which I dont have. Uh? I dont think there is a facelift version of the e70 yet. |

I thought you were referring to E53 X5, my mistake.
Expensive stuff in any case. The AC Schnitzer wheel for the E53 is $1600. No idea why they all run so much. |
