Door handle
because of faulty touch opening, eratic windows opening now 4 weeks latter still works funny, door would not close, like the latch is jammed went there, they have to order a new unit, again..... after only 18 months, I am up to 8 visits, and 6-7 parts replacement good service...some compassion, but is it normal, I own BM since 1987....since they are built cheaper as time go by? your toughts!!!!!

Car's and certainly BMWs have got more complex with more software control. I wouldn't necessarily say cars have become less reliable. However most problems now seem to be from these additional features we never saw on cars in the past such as in your case, comfort access, navigation, telematics, dynamic damping control, etc, etc.
When I owned a car back in the 80's .. it was like, well I wonder if this car will actually start. Now I dont worry about the car not starting, but if it will pair with my latest phone, or work with my new iPod. |
