Best Tyres

Which tyres do you use with the 19 inch rim and the size you use 255/50 etc. ?

I currently have Continental tyres but dislike the road noise .

I have the Continental Contact, and I have to agree with you thet noise is
getting on my nerve, especially on the highway, not even a pick-up makes that kind of noise
like a hollow sound

just put on my winter Dunlop run flat, also extermely noisy, especially on cement highway

thanks jpl

100% correct - highway driving gives that "hollow humming" sound which spoils the ride of the X'er.

My next option will be Michelin or Pirreli.

Michelin Latitude Tour HP (they have a non-runflat too, runflat marked HP ZP) seems to be the best one for 19" all-seasons, but of course pricey.

Go with Michelin.... Pirellis' are great on dry but they dont last at all. I dont have them on the e70's.... hell I dont even have my e70 yet . But with my other cars, they dont last as long as Michelins...

here in the northern country, where it rains, snows, gets cold....
it think my best gripping experience has been with Pirelli on performance car,
Michelin ususally don't grip or brake as well..

always a compromise between longevity and adherence

I like the Continental, solid planted feel, brake well on rain, but noisy....

Try Continental ExtremeContact DWS. They are one of the quietest Contis ever...
I use Pirellis on my X and they are noisier than my stock Bridgestones.

even though I dont have them, I know that Bridgestones are much worse... Michelin will be the next set I'll be putting on.
