New X5 Diesel Delivered Saturday

I'm the guy who almost cancelled my order. Am I ever happy that I kept it. Picked it up Saturday, Monaco Blue exterior with Saddle Brown interior.

Sorry no pictures, I can't keep it clean thanks to snow and salt.

For me, BMW hit this one out of the park. I love the diesel feel, the 3.0 always felt like it needed some additional oomph, the diesel is smooth and really feels like it belongs in the X5. The X5 has an entirely different personality with this engine.

I also really like the new iDrive/Nav. No more delays while the bluetooth phonebook downloads (I was tired of having to wait to turn the radio down or switch stations). The new rear-view camera is superb and the quality of the display is crisper.

The new radio/sat presets are great. HD Radio is really nice, especially on my local AM sports talk station.

Finally, I ordered the comfort seats and they are great. The seat warmers are a bit more aggressive than my 2008 was.

Only complaint is I got the Bridgestone run flats that I had ditched on my 2008.

Congrats on the purchase. I just took delivery earlier this month and couldnt be happier. How much do you love Monaco blue, every time I look at the car I shake my head and say what a beautiful color! Anyway, enjoy it in good health.

Hey Bigx5er, that's the same color combo as mine! Monaco Blue / Saddle with comfort seats. Also a diesel. You have superb taste bro.

Hopefully picking mine up on the 30th or 31st. This will be my first X5.

Congrats! Superb set of wheels you got there. You didn't mention 30+ MPG on the freeway with more torque than the Cayenne S!!

What was the problem with the Bridgestone EMT's? Road noise?

Thanks for a quick one. Then mine should be here around Jan 10th or may be little earlier since travel to Florida should be quicker than to MN.

Congrats. I agree on the seats. The seats in my '08 didn't get very warm. The seats in my '05 got much hotter. I'm glad the 2010s have hot seats again.
