Message- Engine Malfunction, partial power

Got this message twice in the last two days, last night and this morning, both times as I was pulling into my destination thankfully. It says to take the X to the dealer to have them check it. I plan on doing that after work today.

Anyone have this come up before? What was the dealer's solution?

Had it come up, when my battery died once, then it went back to normal again, np since

I thought it was similar to some other posters different issues that went away upon restart when the warning was gone this morning. It came on again though after about 20 minutes.

Maybe my X got swine flu?

Update:

Took the X in at lunch. After an hour they determine the cause is a bad fuel pump. Got a loaner 3 series until Wednesday. At 4500 miles, I hope this isnt a sign of things to come.

BMW has had a lot of fuel pump problems lately, particularly on the new twin turbo engines.

Maybe they need to look for a new supplier.
