advice on getting new bumper...

today my girlfriend drove my E70 to work and when she was doing a U turn, she hit a truck and damaged my rear bumper (the black bit) and also scratches on tailgate and the side as well!!!!!!!

i think i will lodge a claim at my insurer, but i just need to get advice from you guys, should i get a sport bumper?(coloured rear bumper) or should i just stay with the black bumper?

thanks guys, here's the photo, is not clear tho, i will post some clearer photos later.

Ouch! Sorry to see that! Well, if you paint the rear, then you will have to paint the front. I think I saw a post before with the X5 M painted front and back along with the wheelwell plus the sideskirt. All silver -- for some reason I didn't think it looked good on a silver. It may be fine with a darker color like black. But that's just me. Although you X would look pretty cool with the 2 tone aerokit. that's what I'd go for.

Since your girlfrield caused the damage to your rear, I'd say you get to hit her rear if you catch my drift ...

This is an all silver X5 M Sport. Don't get me wrong it's a gorgeous car, but I thought it was too monotoned for my taste.

Zoich - I agree.. I saw an all silvered out one and having a silver with the black accent comes off a better. The monotone works on some cars and not others. Silver is not one of them.

FYI: There are a few black rear bumpers on ebay, you may want to take a look.
