I've paid my speed tax

Anyone else? I have a 3.0 and while it doesn't get to 60 about 1.4 seconds faster like the 4.8, the I6 still moves it swiftly and smoothly. I join another highway and the 2 right lanes are bit congested so I easily accelerate it into the left lane... completely clear so I'm moving along passing everyone and less than a mile is a downhill section... yup, a black menacing Dodge Charger sits on the roadside and here I am without a radar/laser detector. 75 in a 50. It sure as sh!t should be higher than 50 maximum but whatever, I guess I'll just pay the $195 (11-20mph over is the same price, coincidentally). The cop also asks why I'm doing 75 with 2 small children in the back. Umm, 75 is not 90 and that's just passing speed on a typical highway which this was - I didn't say it but was thinking it.

Anyway, my question is, how do you people in the 4.8s and 35d's not get busted because it's not easy keeping from opening her up even once in a while.

radar/laser detector is not allowed here. So, I got busted several times ! with my 4.8i onl 1 time , It was a 70mph I was doing 85 !

But a good story to tell is once got busted doing 197.2 mph (police car radar) on a 75, The car was Lamborghini LP640. They took the car for 3 days :p

Get a V1. I toyed with trading my E90 for an E70 3.0si and that thing would get me in more than plenty of trouble.

quite simply. the 4.8 provides feedback in the exhaust note and the rumble in the acceleration. the 3.0 is smooth and quiet. and will get from 55 to 75 in a hurry.

don't feel bad RH, my wife has been pulled three times in her E53 3.0 over the last year.

besides that, most cops don't like to drive fast. my kid just leans into the turns more at 90.

Don't have a 4.8 or a 35d. I have a 4.4 but the easy
answer is drive the speed limit or don't get caught........
