I wasn't ready to leap until the diesel came out. Now I really want it. But the E53 is paid for and having a car payment again - oy vey, not! With 50K on the clock there is lots more life left in my E53. If I could find a Platinum Bronze diesel...

Just giving you some sh!t.. you left yourself open and I couldn't resist. You have a fantastic car. I raced a colleague who has a 03 4.4, my car didn't start to pull away until about after 45 mph. The e53's got some kickass throttle response.

Although not a direct upgrade, I came from a 2001 4.4 E53 back around to an E70...(actually e53 to XC90 lease takeover from my wife, then to LR3 HSE -few stops in between). Happy to be home again!

I parked next to a ML350 and a RR HSE at the casino parking, all of our rides are black. but IMO the 70 blows the ML as far as looks, the RR looks nice, but i wonder what the owner said when he saw our rides next to each other.

Aging E53, 4500 incentive and the 3 year lease started in 2006 coming due. There is flood of used E53 coming off leases in the market.
