Lowering Question
I'm new to the forum and picked up an 07 x5 4.8 with active steering and have just lowered it. However, I notice when i'm turning left or right at a slow speed the spring seems to make a "boing sound " like it was under load then being released. Just curious those of u that have lowered your X5s have ever experienced anything like that. Thank you in advance.

This will happen if your springs are not sitting right. It is possible they were not installed correctly, possible they were installed upside down, possible they may have moved while driving, or possible the rubber pads have moved.
Most likely just the last possibility. Take a look at the pic below. There is a rubber pad on top and below the spring (Part 4 & 5.) Make sure the pads are seated correctly on both ends of the spring, on both sides of the car. What kind of springs did you install, and how low of a drop?? Post some pics!
