Tire Warranty on 21" rims?

I'm about to pull the trigger on some 128 wheels.

Just curious if any of you bought a tire and wheel warranty that will cover the 21" upgrade or 21" that came with the cars purchase.

I bought a 5 year tire and warranty road hazzard at the time of purchase.

The first time I called the customer service that handles the Tire & Wheel Road hazard, the representative told me that I could not upgrade wheel in size. I can change style but not size.

The second time I called, another customer service representative told me that it is fine, but if there is any extra cost that I'd have to pay for it. Hypothetically, if it cost $500 to replace 1x20" rim (which my policy covers), they will only pay $500 towards the replacement of 1x21" rim anything extra is my cost. I wish I could have had that in writing.

Then I called the finance guy at the dealership I bought the warranty from. He says that the policy will not cover BMW factory accessories as those are not manufacturer factory original equipment. Go figure.

Still pursuing the matter to see if I can get something in writing to protect myself. Just curious if any of you bought a tire and wheel warranty that will cover the 21" upgrade or 21" that came with the cars purchase.

Just buy some replica 21" and don't worry about the headache.
