I thought you were asking if they would fit--some were saying they might not and could get scratched. I guess that's not a concern ? I'm just saying why take a chance.

I took my 535 thru a touchless carwash with a track (guys handwash it first, then thru tunnel, then hand dried). Inside the tunnel, it caught the bottom of my car and ripped the plastic protector underneath car below driver's seat about a foot and a half long. Car caught the plastic part of their rail and tore it off. Never went thru there again, although I had gone many times before.

My X5 has only been hand washed for fear it might get damagd in a car wash. A few weeks ago I was checking my tyre pressure at my local petrol station when I saw the Washtec car wash engineer servicing the car wash. I took the opportunity to ask him if the 315's would fit. He offered to let me try it out while he was there. The 315 just about fit in between the tracks and there was about half an inch of clearance between the rim and the track. He told me not to risk it and told me he would report back to his company to tell them some X5's with the bigger wheels might not fit.

Hey bro you can always bring it around we could wash both Xs at the same time Just wait to see face expression from the neighbors .

I actually figured out how we could do 2 cars in less time than it takes to do one... But I am not sharing that secret on this forum

The 315's most definitely fit in modern car washes. I take the wifes X thru the car wash quite often and the 325's on the 21's fit no problem. There is about an inch worth of clearance. The inside of the wheel is guided down the track by the rail but the outside doesnt touch. I guess it depends on how new the car wash is. The one by me is new and the X is hardly the nicest car to go thru there. The guys know how to handle high end cars the owners sensitivity to nice rims. Im not worried at all. In addition, if any damage was to occur, they would fix it and we'd move on. As for those of you not wanting to wash your X's in a car wash. I guess I understand but for me, the convenience outweighs the occasional swirlmarks. I reserve the babying for other cars.
