Dealers have 2010 X5 35d

One of the dealers in southern California got some 2010 X5 35ds last thursday. i drove one today and it was great as expected. They also have some 2010 X5 Ms which look really aggressive.

Due to the options I want, i think i will be ordering one (X5 35 d) in a week. waiting to see if the eco credit continues.

I saw many threads on pricing here about people getting 1000 over the invoice but none of the dealers i've met are willing to go below MSRP so far.

hhhm3 is an unknown quantity at this point
So, the dealers are asking 52,200 base? (Base MSRP $51,200).

Maybe you can work in all your options then negotiated a 2000$ discount offer.
If they don't accept walk and I am sure they will call you in a day or so.
That's what I did, but in my case I wanted a 2500 discount but they rejected it.
I was in the process of walking out because I had an appointment with another dealership. They countered with 2000 discount.

However, I have read one or two people on this forum got 3000 or 3500 discount but most ppl got they 35d for 1-3K over invoice.

One other thing you can do is contact the general manager and state you are interested in buying an x5 with your listed options. Ask what is the absolute best price you can get for it without dealing with a sales person and their commissions sales.

I tried Shelly BMW in Buena Park and South Bay BMW in Torrence. Agent at Torrence mentioned they may offer 2500 over invoice. Do not know if that's a good price. Going to shop a little more.

I live in CA. I ordered a 35d recently. I'd recommend that you don't go in. Get a list of your local dealers from bmwusa.com, then email them all with a precise offer. Others including myself have been able to do $1k-$1.5k over invoice. No reason you couldn't. Make sure you state that you need a build # (if you want to order a particular spec.) Doing this lets the dealer know that they can't mess around with you. I was getting the runaround but this approach finally worked. Good luck.

Thanks, but I've already placed my order with a dealer. I have a great relationship with my salesguy and dealer. We'll deal with specifics when it gets here, but I never pay much over invoice.
