Dissapointed with fuel consumption at motorway speeds.
The E70 seems to be mapped for 55mph as around town its useless and at 80 its useless. My C4s is returning the same on an urban run. Not impressed if this doesnt get better with miles!!!!! |

It doesn't really get much better to be honest. I have an SD and I do have roof bars fitted (so quite a big difference in economy terms from your car) and I get probably 26-27 mpg at 60 mph.
I agree it's poor, very poor especially against BMW's claims. |

And, are these consumption figures from the OBC or worked manually? |

First refill today, 340 miles....19.2mpg all city. No doubt it will improve.

Unless BMW's are special and different from other new cars, MPG usually is low or sporatic during the break-in period. As the car is driven more, the MPG will stabilize and get closer to the posted fuel economy. This happens usually between the first 5k-10k miles on a new car.
So, I'm a bit surprised by this post. Or, have I misunderstood this entire thread? |

Be careful folks. The posts in this thread are probably reporting mpG figures where the Gallons have different volumes (US and Imperial).
