Is there any way to make the "BEEP" on locking louder? 2008 3.0

I just wish it would beep consistantly - sometimes it doesn't sound at all.

No, unless you talk to the tech and maybe there is a program code to do this. Not sure.

Just in case...

The X5 locking system does not flash (or beep) unless ALL doors are closed. After pressing the lock button you will hear the closed doors lock. And when the last door is closed the X5 will flash (and beep if programed to beep).

Also when the X5 is locked and you open just the rear hatch. The X5 will automatically re-lock itself when the rear hatch is closed without any flash (or beep).

Please forgive me if this was obvious to everyone.

The audible signal is an option that you can set in the iDrive.

Is this another FunF Dreisig GmBh exclusive modification?
I'm 200% certain that the Euro versions don't have this feature...

Perhaps we traded the cargo floor cover strut for that iDrive option...

The US model's iDrive screen includes the "Acoustic Confirm" options

But don't worry, we here at Funf Dresig AG are developing "Acoustic Confirm" options for our friends from the old country. Unfortunately the product development cycle has gotten bogged down selecting the appropriate sound. The stubborn orcs simply refuse to go forward unless the acoustic confirmation of unlocking is the sound they say best symbolizes unlocking/release -- a fart
