You can forget about that overpriced wimpy BMW Emergency Sunroof Tool that will make you look like a dork as soon as you whip it out and start hand cranking.

Funf Dreisig AG is proud to reveal yet another must have accessory for the discerning E70 X5 owner -- The Funf Dreisig AG ImpactPOWER Emergency Sunroof Tool for Dummies.

Funf Dreisig AG has teamed up with Makita(TM) to offer this amazing tool with the 18v Lithium/Ion ImpactPOWER to close stuck sunroofs in mere seconds. In fact, during testing the orcs found that simply pulling this baby out of the custom tool bag would cause most recalcitrant sunroofs to close instantly.

This is an exclusive look at the current prototype. The final model will sport the signature Funf Dreisig AG black-as-sin carbon fiber ////M look and cost wads of money.

Beware of cheap imitations that simply don't have the staying power of a Funf Dreisig AG tool. No onw want their tool to end up like the cheap knock off in the 2nd picture.

Just curious,

Has anyone ever had their roof freeze in the open position?

People who read the owner's manual?

It's all relative... if two people read the owners manual, that's probably one more than look at the tool kit.

Sunroof = Expensive hole cut in otherwise perfectly good car that compromises the structural integrity of the same; fouls the aerodynamics at highway speeds; possibly leaks; ruins the interior of the the car when locked open in a rain storm; and can lead to skin cancer on the head of balding driver.

Yeah, and the X5 cannot be ordered without one in the U.S.

No. But the US X5's also come standard with a water proof hat*

Funf Dreisig

* not really, but I'm pretty sure Funf Dreisig AG would create one if there is sufficient demand and wads of cash involved

The sunroof is an extra-cost option on all Aussie X5s, even the range-topping $121,908 48i.
