Can running boards be fitted to M sport?

Really miss the running boards on my e53, can these be fitted to an E70 xdrive M sport?
Anyone put them on?

I also have an E70 M Sport, and when I picked it it up, the dealer said it could not be fitted

dealer told me the same thing when i picked up my 2010 X5 4.8 M sport. and that was just 1 week ago.

Disagree concerning the fact that it's nice or that it cannot be done ? On the second one, the following pics prove my statement

The lower part of the car where the boards are fitted and screwed on to the chassis, is the same between an M sport and a non-M sport. The wider arches of the M sport have the same 'base-pieces' (at the edges) as the non M versions, so that is the reason why you can fit any type of OEM board you want.

If I would have had an M sport, it would have been my first mod :-)
