Chrome around windows !

I am sorry that this may be look lame but I could not figure out. The chrome around windows comes with which package ? I ordered my 35d with sport package but it seem to come with shadow line only. Thanks in advance.

cmyX6go will become famous soon enough
The aluminum window trim is non sport on the 4.8i. I'm assuming it's the same on the diesel.

Did you get the adaptive drive?

Make sure you ordered this, if that's what you were looking for. There's a lot of confusion with some SAs about this fact.

With the 35d adaptive drive is an option and the sport package is merely an appearance package.

Adaptive Drive is $3,500 extra, but well worth it, in my opinion.

Yes and No
Yes the "aluminum window trim is non sport on the 4.8i". But AFAIK there is no way to get aluminum window trim on a 35d. You either get rubber trim (standard) or Shadowline with the sport package.

So between 6 configurations (3 models times 2 sport/non-sport configurations), that is available in only one ?

It is too late, car is in production, thanks though. I kept following fascination of people who has it.

I still am not clear what "shadowline trim" is... if the opposites are "rubber" and chrome... then I guess the shadowline is the black smooth/glossy plastic (or is it metal)?

Yep!

It looks like BMW considers the 35d to be more like the 30i since they are both "6 cylinder models" as opposed to the "premium" 4.8i V8 model that gets the aluminum trim as standard. Ironically, the sport package makes all three have the same Shadowline trim.
