Angry Info about BMW specific junk yards?

I hear there are BMW specific junk yards somewhere. Anyone has info on any of them? I have decided to research to see if I can get a pair of contour seats from a totalled e70 to replace my neck breaking sport seats.

Maybe I'm missing something but I'm amazed
that people never think of using google.

I think you can do a part search online. You might want to give them a call as well.

You are missing the part that says asking for a specific piece of information on a topically related forum does not mean that soeone has not thought of using Google.

Thanks Craig, as I expected no immediate gratification here either... but I will call them, you're right they might have extra special search capability.

Actually you would be surprised at just how
many people don't think to do so.

I know about this one Double02 Salvage :: Home
But google has a much longer list. Perhaps one closer to you.

Regards

Yea... but you get a ton of fluff from fuzzy queries like that on Google (or any other search). Thanks for the link though, I will give them a call tomorrow to see what they have to say. I am not necessarily expecting to find something any time soon. Surprising though, because I am sure there are some totalled e70 X5s w/contour seats out there somewhere...

I've had success using www.car-part.com and Bavarian Engine Exchange has a BMW only junkyard in CA somewhere. That Carpart site is like a portal for finding junkyards all over the US.

Thanks! Now we are getting somewhere... they have a front seat for a 2008 e70, tan... for $350,- it's a regular seat (non sport, non contour) but at least its a hit and the price is reasonable. Been getting zilch so far. BTW, just for s***&giggles BMW parts dept quoted me $6k per seat or $8k if built from parts ,
