Matte Black Style 214 Wheels?

I've been browsing what wheels to buy for some time now, and I think I'm pretty set on getting some 214 style replicas, and having them painted matte black.

To give you an idea of my daily driving each way is about 45 min highway(I-95) 15 min city from Boca to Miami. I managed to crack all four stock rims on my Mercedes so I don't think I want to risk it with 22's.

I've been looking for some quality replicas, and have found a few places thanks to some other members. However, I have not seen them in black on silver or chrome. So, that being said it looks like I will have to get them painted.

1.) I was told by the wheel paint shop that I should paint not powdercoat since they might not be as strong as a quality rim like HRE, and weaken the strength of the wheel?

2.) I was told to paint them Gloss Black not black, because the paint will chip with road wear. I would prefer to go Matte Black to match everything I have left black in the front of the car?

3.)I can wrap the wheels in vinyl, but the cost is about the same per wheel and I think this will not hold up as well as paint?

4.)Any thoughts on the best prices tire sensors as I can't take them out of my OEM wheels since I will put them back on when my lease is up?

5.)I've been looking at tires, and have read nothing but good things about the Toyo Proxy ST II 275 fronts and 315 rears?

I'm not a paint expert, but I would expect that chrome wheels would be more difficult to prep and paint properly than the silver/clearcoat ones.

I don't recall black but I've seen it with ferric gray 215s and I didn't like the dark lower half of the vehicle vs. the white upper half. It looked off when you look at it as a whole. Black or ferric gray wheels on dark cars only in my personal opinion.

Please do not buy replicas. It's not in the best interest to support companies that duplicate/steal from others. I support you purchasing one their original designs.

I would prefer to go OEM's and I might do so when I finally pull the trigger on the set. I understand the quality of the replica's are different, but the cost factor is a huge piece when I am using them for 2 years, and painting them black. Also I have spoken to a lot of members on several boards basically that purchased from 3-4 places that all have had no issues with their sets so far.

I did check with the paint shop today the chrome will take a little longer to prep so a little more to get painted. It will be cheaper to the silver, and have them painted. Below is an X5 that is at the same shop I goto he had the chrome one's painted gloss black.
