X5d 1200 mile review

X5d 1200 mile pros/cons

Pros:
1.Adequate power, I can kick it up to close the gap effortlessly when a freak is trying to make me nervous by trying cut me within inches of me.
2.Its a Tank. As somebody said, it is a tank. I feel that powerful. Normally if you put powerful engine in proportion to size, it feels flimsy, but not this.
3.Body-roll, what body-roll ? believe it or not, this has 10 times less body-roll than my 328i which did not have sport seats, I always regretted.
4.Comfort Seats are much better than any other seats I have driven with, although top tilting potion is not supporting my back since I am only 5'6"
5.Topview and Rearview, With these things at my assistance, I am not overwhelmed with my first SUV. I always used be nervous when I drove my colleague's SUV.
6.Though many said sport package is decoration only, I feel it is worth it. 19' wheel upgrade itself is worth all of it. I feel these wheels are just right size, not too small, not too big.

Cons:
1.Quality, though the quality is impeccable in terms of richness and heavy feeling in every part, fit and finish is not as perfect as a german make as 328 I just traded.
2.I am surprised that my 2008 328i had LED lisence plate lights where as this 60k vehicle did not. Quite disappointing. When you are at a stop light, this is what makes your vehicle special.
3.Diesel clatter, I can use little more suppression. But I am getting used to it. It is all about how you depress the pedal.

Now Questions

1.After full tank on delivery, I filled it only twice. Once Mobil and once Chevron. None of the gas stations display Cetane rating or Diesel grade narrated by manual. Don't know which is good yet. I tried Shell close by, but it had only big house good for trucks.
How can I find which is good ?

2.How are you key-chaining your fob. My other keys are always rubbing against the wood finish and metal underneath it ?

3.What can I use to black grease spots from painted areas, between car washes. Is there any spray ?

I love that valve clatter. I have to go through a "gate house" commonly and that clatter reverberates in the short "tunnel" each time while I try to keep the rpm's at about 1400-1600 to Enhance the sound.

I use QuikDetailer spray in between washes, fyi.

No comfort access Just kidding. I always use two key chains. One for the key fob and one for all other keys.

Haha ^ thats messed up, but funny. Congrats on your new x. I also use two key rings. Seems silly but in reality i usually just carry the fob around anyways, it is much less bulky, leaving the key ring in my console. If you really want the led plate look you can have it done at almost any auto custom shop for practically nothing, or do it yourself as others on the forum have done.

BMW key fob works well to shield keys from dashboard.
