2008 3.0 X5 brakes help?.

My car has 16k miles and went for an oil service. After it left the dealer I check idrive to see when was my next service coming. I noticed that my front brakes will be due in 33K miles and the rear in 23K miles. Currently I have 16K miles. I found odd to believe that the front brake pads will last 16+33= 49K miles and the rear 16+23=39K miles.

1.- Aren't the front pads supposed to go first?

2.- Do they really last 49K miles?

3.- Can someone that has never got a brake job post their current mileage and how many miles left according to idrive to have them changed?

4.- Did the dealer mess up and changed my service intervals?

Thank you.
Am I missing something?

my rears were replaced at 23k miles and fronts at 29k. dont trust the projected time on the idrive - my brakes went from fine to overdue in less then 1 week... you know it getting close when they squeal badly when you coast.

there was a thread about this but I can't find it right now. I recall people indicating their rears were scheduled to go first...
