Apart from new iDrive what's the diff btw 09 and 10 35d?

just getting replacement for my 09 so keen to know if anything in the base specs changed e.g. any tweaks to suspension/ride etc etc etc

on our Aussie BMW website we can only download the 09 model brochure ..so wondering if there were any changes etc

thanks for any info

thankfully the 40d isnt coming in 2011. As a 2010 35d owner, I would have been disappointed to say the least.

also noticed that the 2010 doesn't have an adjustable seat pitch for the rear passengers if you only have two row seating. Others please chime in if this was true in the 2009. Thought there were a few other minor things as well.

40d will be in Aussie by July :(

Looks like my 10 35d is out of date even before delivery. That's life

The extras that came with my 10 car (which I was not aware would be included) are as follows:
- Top view cam
- self levelling xenon lights
- auto tailgate

At least these are the ones that I have noticed since picking up today. Just as well, I didn't add these things when ordering. In fact, I requested to add the auto tailgate and comfort access after signing the contract but the request could not be processed as it was (apparently) in production already. phew.....just as well...

I think auto-liftgate came on the 2008s.

I dont think the second row was ever adjustable unless you ordered the third row.

Since the original poster is from Australia, I would say wait for the 2011 xDrive40d which will be the drivetrain to get.

There isn't much difference between 2009 and 2010 models, and there's nothing technically different.

Yes, but I was referring to the australia spec X5's where the auto tailgates were an optinal extra but it appears to be standard on the 10 models at least for the 35d's.
