Is the X5 E70 DVD changer region free?

Hi I'm going to install an original BMW DVD changer that fits in the glovebox and wanted to know what type of DVDs it will be able to play? Is it region free and can it play avi files burnt onto a DVD disc?

Would appreciate the help!

It's not region free. Country coded.

Won't play any video DVDs other than conventional video DVDs. It's not able for example to play divx, mp4, h264 .. Avi etc.

It can play pal and NTSC disks though so long as they are either all-region or your country region.

It can also play mp3 audio DVDs and CDs however.
