X 35d- If you could do it all over would you?
For all you X35d owners out there: If you knew when you ordered your X35d what you know now; when you're done weighing the pros and cons of your vehicle, would you do it again or not?
I've been following things here for a while now, have gotten a lot of good information. I'm a few hours away from locking in on an order for a new X35d, and I'm starting to wonder whether I should go ahead or not. I've owned an E36 M3 and currently own a 2000 E39 M5, and other than routine maintenance an a few MINOR repairs for MINOR issues, I've had nothing but good luck and 'Ultimate Driving' for a lot of years. But I'm really waffling on this E70 diesel. Its a beautiful vehicle and the one I drove was great, but then I read about the issues people are having and I'm wondering if it is really 'ready for prime time'. I know that most of what goes up hear are the issues people are trying to get help with, rather than the glowing stories of those that are having nothing but good times, so I figured the best way to find out was to just ask. So what do you say? Thanks in advance. PS. I was looking at a 2009 X35d CPO dealer buy back that was loaded out and that would have been a great deal. But it had check engine lights and other lights that kept coming on despite their best efforts to fix it. They said they would not sell it if they couldn't get it right, so they didn't.
