I know some members in the Arizona and California areas have. Do a search.

is it harder on the film and thus not recommended since it's beaming down on it pretty much all day?

I just got tint done last week including the pano roof - windows were 35% tint but used 20% on pano roof. The installer did tell me the manufacturer will not provide warranty on the pano roof tint, and that he'd seen some sunroof tints start degrading after only 12 months simply because it is baking in direct sun a lot of the time.

I had it done in November 2009. Looks great and holding up fine. No regrets...

What is the point of tinting the moon/pano roof? Isn't that what the cover is for?

I usually use the pano roof for some natural light/air rather then opening the windows..or to look at the sky or something above my car.

Too much of a good thing can be bad. South Florida, like Dubai?, can provide too much sunshine and keeping the moonroof cover closed is a low option when a bit of tint will do perfectly fine...

That makes sense, but keeping the cover closed does no harm and I am sure it rejects the heat more then tint.
Doesn't the pano roof come tinted (not film but the actual windows)? I think it might be the cars in this part of the world.

BTW, Dubai is like FL, but a lot hotter.

I had always avoided moonroofs but this pano makes the interior so much larger and more enjoyable that it has changed my opinion, perhaps permanently. The roof comes tinted but July in Naples is searing without extra tint.

Yes dealer told me (doesn't mean its true though) that the pano roof glass is slightly tinted and provides some UV protection.

The two reasons why we tinted:

1. Too much heat getting through.
2. With the cover closed I felt boxed in, felt like the roof was lower, especially with the black headliner that comes with the M-Sport.

So tinting has reduced the heat, and because the cover can now be left open, we get natural light and great views through the pano roof, providing that expansive feel to the interior.
