X5 Navigation Street names

Just picked up my X5 and my navigation doesn't seem to display any street names (8th street, 10th ave........) Is there a way to turn this on? I have looked on the console and such and just can't find it. Am I missing something or does this not exist?

Thx.

Perhaps, I can't imagine this is it as I would be soo close , by zooming, that it wouldn't matter. It is almost like the setting is off.

I'll be severely disappointed with myself if this is the problem.

Thx for thr very quick reply though

I'm pretty sure to get the street names to show you must be zoomed in a lot. Now I don't own an e70 but in the e53 the street names stop appearing if I zoom out

no street names in perspective view at all... it's pretty useless. Is that what you're set on? Try the map facing north or direction views and zoom in if it still doesn't show.

exactly right, perspective viewing will not show names but others do (2-dimensional views)

I have a 2010 model e70 w/ new hdd satnav... I find arrow view in split screen display much more useful, and a great substitute for spoken street names. It also provides basic lane guidance. Note, arrow view is only selectable when guidance has been started.
