While I understand your point, its a bit silly dont you think. This mindset makes one wonder why BMW even offers such a ridiculous car. Curious as to your views on sportscars and the ability to purchase AND drive them on our shitty public roads??? Do you shake your head in disgust when you see an obvious idiot driving one???? Just curious.

Don't be curious, it's too much for your brain to handle.

Funny...I'm in the same position but another year out. And I have some of the same cars as you, even in the same colors. My X5 is an '08, but my AM is an '07, although it's had some special engine work. And I used to live outside Tahoe, but I just moved to Florida. Weird.

Anyway, I plan to drive both, but most likely will go with the 5.0. Since it will already be significantly faster than my current 4.8, which is quick, it will probably suffice. Unless the experience with the M is just that much better and makes up for some of the exterior styling cues that I don't like, it will be the 5.0 for me.
