Picking up my '07 CPO X5 4.8 tomorrow
Purchased a late '07 X5 4.8i. Picking it up tomorrow evening.
Any items I should pay extra attention to while doing my walk through? Any issues with the late production '07? Specs include: Premium Package Sport Package Cold Weather Package Active Vent / Seat Package Comfort Access 20" Wheels Etc... Last edited by hypractv; 04-28-2010 at 11:26 PM. Reason: Spelling

Nails in the tires and anything else you want fixed or documented because it's your best chance of getting it done with no headache.

Thanks. This isn't my first rodeo so I am pretty sure i have the obvious covered.
I am hoping to get some feedback specific to the '07 X5 and potential issues that folks may know about with respect to this model.

You bought it at a rodeo? Weird, but then again I've never been to North Carolina. I bought a lawnmower at a football game once, so I guess it's kind of the same.

I have a late 07 4.8i and have thus far experienced no major problems. Just crossed the 50,000 mark. Had a faulty electronic module that required a quick stop to the dealer, but otherwise the car has been bulletproof. I suppose you could ask them if the car has received the electronic updates that makes the transmission less jerky. Not sure what the service bulletin # is but a quick search of the forum should tell you. Congrats and enjoy.

So far nothing really big for mine other than a few minor issues.
Major Battery Drainage, sw update and new battery resolved that. A/C blower motor replaced Drives Side Weather stripping replaced due to wind noise Rear bumper reflector fell off or was stolen  Passenger side seat needed to be readjusted And just this morning left Daytime running lamp went out.

07 4.8 in service May 07
No issues so far at 25K miles. Bought it at auction Dec. 08 with 12K miles.
