Spacers

Guys please be helpfull and tell me, or suggest to me what kind of spacers i should do on my X.

I dont want anything crazy, just for it to look agressive and handle better.

i have to order them internationally, so sooner you tell me better.

thank you to all the great people on this forum.

12.5mm(common) fronts with the bolts 26+12.5=38.5mm
15mm(aggressive) fronts with the bolts 26+15=41mm

20mm(common) rears with the bolts 26+20=46mm
25mm(aggressive) rears with the bolts 26+25=51mm

Assuming stock wheels. These were based on 20" staggered

Here are some pics for reference for you...

This is with a 15mm front spacer and a 20mm rear spacer. If that is your X5 in your avatar you are certainly not too too low so could actually get away with a more aggressive setup than mine...if you so deisred.

Yes thats my X, when i bought it, it was lowered on Hartge spring and i took it to a BMW center and had it go back to factory set up, it was nearly impossible to drive it, it was very rough.

i think i will go with 12 in front and 20 in the back, that will look good.

jigaro - most come separate or they just add bolts and make it a package. It works out the same for them maybe a couple bucks cheaper for the package.

let me know through a PM if you want to order. I can send you to someone.

Exellent advice on the spacer sizes.

If the " = " number you are giving him is to indicate the offset if it is You are going the wrong way the farther the wheel sticks out from the hub the lower the offset. So +26mm add a 15mm spacer you have an effective offset of +11. A +41mm offset would be very sunk in the wheel well.

I got you, you seemed to know what you were talking about so I didn't think you would make that mistake. I am a fan of the H&R DRA (6-40mm with long bolts included) or DRS (6-60mm spacers bolt to the hub then wheels bolt to the spacer) both series with the bolts included.

Sylvan . Did you keep the springs and live with the adjustments? Ride better?

My friend out of Cali takes care if me with everything for my cars. So it's nice to have a hook up for cars. He's a vendor on several boards. I usually like bolt on and regular bolts because you can use BMW locks. But I will be running 12 and 20 with extended bolts instead. Just waiting for them. Would have loved to find a 21" style 214 replica or even 22" reps. But only in staggered fitment. So far it's only in 22" 22x10 only.
