I have a Motorola Droid and I would like the option of hooking it into the external antenna. It appears there is a standard external antenna jack in the Droid under the battery cover (just needs a hole drilled in the cover). Since there isn't any Droid cradle, is anyone aware of a generic external antenna cable for BMW (2001 X5 ideally) or at least a wiring diagram so I could make something semi-permanent up myself? I can already get power & bluetooth but getting the external antenna for long journeys and/or remote locations would be great. Also do you need to order Smartphone integration to get the wiring to the console or is that just for the plastic finishing that the cradle plugs into? [I thought about putting this into the Bluetooth forum but it's not really about Bluetooth. Admins, feel free to move if appropriate.]
