Must have options on the 2011 x5
Must have options on the 2011 x5. Try to stay under 60k.

To me the absolute must haves are very personal depending on how you'll use the car:
- If used for towing or long journeys - space saver spare - If on the phone a lot - Bluetooth - Cold weather package if in cold weather daily, add rear heated seats if adults in rear a lot (not needed for kiddie seats) - Rear climate package, in hot climates or if young kids in the back regularly I would get the premium package and technology package personally to have more comfort & nav features but the above would be my minimums no matter what. Sport, sound and other packages are frills (but I'm a sucker for them).

I still regret not getting the rear climate package. If you got kids, it is a must, i dont know what i was thinking when i ordered my X without it...

Whatever you like. I never understood these threads. Why does must have for someone else mean it's a must have for you???

Love the V8 comment, make mine an ///M.
Epacy, may not be useful for someone as knowledgeable on options as you but to others knowing how options are used in the real world is not obvious. The long list of options from BMW is overwhelming (which is why we'll see it move to trim levels over time). I found the recent thread on how people felt about running boards useful and it helped me decide that they weren't for me.

I personally would not do the M pack but again this is a perfect case of to-each-his-own

M package and HUD are higher on flash, lower on function vs. other options but again a personal decision for you to make. Search the forum for opinions on any specific feature, there is tons of info out there.

Actually the HUD provides a lot of function when used with Navigation.
