*Debadged*

I knew this would look ill as soon as I got the car two days ago. Completely debadged the X, with the side chrome "Xdrive 35d" crap as well. First car I've ever debadged too. So, I'm not a debadge whore.

The side shots won't be anything to look at and the car is dirty from the rain. The main point of debadging is to clean up the rear. I love the look. It looks almost as if something aftermarket is going on yet an OEM look.

I like it but you need to ditch the Newbold BMW plate too.

Do you have a pointer to instructions? I find the side badges particularly annoying.

Just got it, haven't had time to get a replacement plate. Don't worry, it will go.

All you need to do is grab some floss and put it behind the badge and "saw" the floss back and forth while pulling towards the opposite side. It's real easy. Would be even easier if you did it after letting it sit outside in the sun all day.

Hair dryer works too. So does fishing line.

Will you be scraping the ///M off of the E90 too?

I don't particularly like debadging because I, as a spectator, sometimes want to see what type of car it is. I did this while looking for an X5 so I can see what model it was (if it was diesel or not). to me it looks unfinished like it just got painted and they haven't had time to put the badges back on.

i used to debadge my cars but i dont want ppl mistaking my is350 for a 250 and my x5 35d for a 3.0 or x3. I like the look but dont want ppl to think im cheap...... i guess the 214s help with that though.

Wow, you can't be so concerned about what other people think like that...
