so you think google needs to know my vin and email? i figured google sent the info to BMW's server where they figured out whom to send the address info to...

Google doesn't need to know the VIN. When BMW gets the info from google they use the email you enter on google maps to get the data to your car. Make sure the email you have registered with BMW is spelled correctly.

It's a wonderful service where you go to Google Maps on you home computer, fill out the data on the directions tab and then are able to send it to your BMW. I've used it a number of times and so far it's worked perfectly.
