I skipped it, I didn't want the dock taking up a bunch of space in the center console. It seemed to basically cater to the iphone with a few features for blackberry as well and I didn't want to lock myself into a phone type to integrate into my vehicle. I figured if it really ever offers something I may want, I'll just retrofit it through coding. The normal usb cord works fine for my ipods and iphone and it displays the album art which was good enough for me.

well... if it was $250 worth of chocolate syrup on a $50 box of vanilla ice cream, than it would not have been worth it...
But, this is only $250 on a $45,000.00 car - even if you finance that, the extra amount a month will be so negligent... On the other hand, if you don't ever need it and don't get it - you are a winner... but, if you need it and then you don't have - think about the joy of the retrofit!!! trying to source the right modules... the right harness... removing panels... finding extra cash in between the seat cushions... lol... I am just kidding - at $250 I would order it even if I will never get to use it, as opposed to not ordering, saving the $250, and then wish that I had it because it is sooo cool... Your decision, man!!!

The retrofit is just coding as long as you have navi, no modules needed unless you really want to add the snap-in adaptor.

nice to know about the specifics of this retrofit - in that case, just save the $250 and have it reprogrammed at a later date...
