Turn off Easy Entry/Exit???

Anyone know if there is a way to specifically turn off the feature of the steering wheel retracting/raising when you turn the car off and open the door? I'm fairly tall/thin, and like the wheel all the way down and all the way extended. Each time I turn the car off and open the door, the wheel takes like 15 seconds to fully retract and raise. I can get in and out of the vehicle just fine with the wheel in the position I like it in and actually use the steering wheel to push myself out of the car. I feel that putting force on the steering wheel like this is not good for it when it is retracting, so I'm forced to wait until it does its business (which takes a LONG time if you have it fully extended/lowered). Anyone know how I can disable this feature? The manual says nothing about disabling it, only that it is present. Thanks!
