Is the M steering wheel heated?

The wife just loves the heated steering wheel and I would be killed if I get the Msport package and the wheel is not heated...... Is it heated with the cold weather package???? I guess I could just ask the dealer but they are not sure if it is just the x5M or both......

For $600 you may opt for the Cold Weather package that includes a heated steering wheel, heated rear seats and a ski bag.

Yes you just described the cold weather package but that was not my question. The Msport package comes with the M wheel which is different than the STD wheel.

From reading other posts, I believe it is NOT heated. If you look at the sport steering wheel, it is just as nice, if not nicer, and is heated.

Just saw the build sheet and the cold weather package is 150 cheaper with the Msport package due to no heated wheel. The sport wheel is nice but not an option if you gat the sport package and that is really nice

That's odd because it is heated in the X5M.

The M wheel is only heated in the X5M - I went over this exact topic with my dealer..

Yes, this is exactly true. I have checked with the Tischer parts guys and they have confirmed that only the X5M wheel is heated if you want the M style wheel (which I love). You can not yet even order the x5m wheel to retrofit it. Only the M sport wheel which is the same but not heated and costs ~$750 from tischer ordered from Germany. The performance wheel is alcantara covered with a flat bottom for $660 from tischer. It may not be as cold since it is alcantara...other wise if you want heat, it is the sport package with the cold weather package.
