Mods on my wife's 3.0si X5 Black

Here are some mods I did to my wife's 3.0 X5. The pic's don't do justice and that's only because i suck at taking them. I'm posting few before and afters.

But before i do, i want to thank and give a shout out to the following people who made it happen:

1) Daripper - for the quick reponses to all my questions on various mods
and being helpful

2) X5 Meister - for putting the group buy together for Vredestein Ultrac
tires

3) DrewX5 - for excellent customer service and providing me with all OEM
parts at a good price (I luckily found him on ebay). He’s affiliated with
a local BMW dealer and sells all original BMW parts and accessories at
steep discount vs. Dealers or online shops. PM me if you need his contact
info.

4) Matt from C&D Autobody - for putting all the parts in, fixing up the bad
scratch I had on one of the doors (I managed to scratch it in a garage
after owning it for only 2 weeks) and for a great detailing job. The only
issue I ran with C&D was with delivery date, but nevertheless, I was happy with the work! (P.S They are on the pricier side, but if money and time isn’t the issue, he’s the guy to go to with all body work / detailing).

5) Park Ave BMW - for taking care of Misc servicing needs. These guys are excellent when it comes down to work & customer service. I've been to two other dealers and these guys are by far the best.

Mods Done:
1) OEM Running Boards
2) OEM 4.8 Exhaust Tips
3) OEM Extended Archs
4) 300M Style 20" Wheels
5) Vredestein ultrac Tires - 275’s front, 315’s back (had to get OEM TPMs for the new wheels since i'll be running winter + summer set).

Mods Remaining:
1) Ceramic Tints
2) Lux H8 Angel Eyes
3) Replacing inside bulbs with white lights

By the way, i have the OEM flares (non-extended part no. 51777158428 & 427 and 51777163558 * 557) and black side boards (not running boards part no. 51778037290 & 289) for sale. If anyone interested in replacing their old parts with these, PM me.

This is a 08 Black Sapphire 3.0si with Tabacco Brown interior. I got this with only 4K miles on it. Options include:
Tech Pkg, Cold Wtr Pkg, Premium Pkg, Rear Heated Seats, Head-Up Display, 20-way adjustable seats, Comfort Access , Active Steering and the list goes on.

It is funny what a difference the tips made as well. The rear wheels may look even better with spacers.

What did you use to shine up the black bumper trim in the after photos?

wondering if one of you guys with these rims on an X5 can put a video of it in motion at parking-lot speeds. I love the way the 214s look from the front/rear quarters while in motion - wondering about these.

d3athr0w,

I'm doing the running board debate in my mind...how much did that mod end up costing you?
