2011 Black Sapphire 35d (UPDATED)
This is my first BMW and I am loving it!
I have done a few mods so far: Replaced the front grill with a black matte, having the dealer spray the rim to match the black sapphire 30% Huper Optik ceramic tint all around Extended Wheel Flares I am thinking the next mod will be new rims. I am looking at the X6m wheels made famous by DaRipper or Black or Ferric 215s. I want the to go bigger and darker, but still undecided. Any suggestions?

Ya think'in like me and my '10d in black sapphire?? Whatever wheels you decide, you'll love it. These are the OEM x6M style 300ms for your reference.

Do you mind me asking where you got the wheels and what are the tire sizes ?
I see these replicas on ebay, but I would like to get them from a reputable seller. Do they stickout without the fenderflares ? Thanks Jeff Quote:

I bought the wheels from another poster who was selling here. They are 20" OEM 300Ms 275 front and 315 back. The rear hub holes had to be bored out from 72.5 mm to 74.1 mm to fit the X5 since the wheels themselves fit an X6M. The actual look is similar to the 20" 214s. As in, they stick out a hair past the fender without flares and however it will definitely look more sporty with the flares and is highly recommended by most posters here. I also have 20mm H&R spacers on the rear which push the wheels out abit.
Ask daripper where he purchased his rep. wheels. The rep. wheels will not need any boring out work (they are made to fit the X5) and seem to be a good way to go. He can also update you on the wear and tear of his reps. since he has had them now for a few months. |

Wow! Cool! These are the wheels I sold to you...looks very nice on the X5. How much did it cost you to get the hub bores done? |

hey Jai,
$60 for the 2 rears over in your neck of the woods. Turns out that H&R now has spacers that converts the wheel fit without boring them out. Woulda saved some effort AND CASH but overall, it came out nicely! Wheres your X6??? or did you change your mind ......... |
